Fourteen

Today is hers.

Fourteen years ago, she came into this world and changed mine forever.

She has faced more than most ever should. And through it all, she has met it with strength, courage, and a heart that refuses to harden.

I’ve watched her grow.

Not just older.

Stronger.
Braver.
More completely herself with every passing year.

Her smile still cuts through even the hardest days.

And somehow, it always finds a way to pull the rest of us with it.

Today is simple.

Breakfast together.

A trip to the bird park.

Lunch her way, whatever she wants.

Dinner out to celebrate.

No rush.

No pressure.

Just time.

I don’t know what the road ahead holds.

But I do know this.

I’m the luckiest dad in the world to walk it with her.

This is where I’m ending today.

Still a dad. Still figuring it out.
Grateful for every step.

Much love. Stay safe. Wash your damn hands.
I’ll see you next time.
