A Few Questions, Answered

What is CranioDad?

1

CranioDad is a personal space centered on fatherhood, reflection, and paying attention to the moments that matter. It’s part blog, part archive, and part ongoing attempt to make sense of life while raising four kids and learning as I go.

Is this site mainly about craniosynostosis?

2

Craniosynostosis is an important part of my family’s story, but it isn’t the whole of it. This site is about parenting, resilience, growth, and showing up—cranio included, not defining.

Are you a medical professional?

3

No. I’m a dad with lived experience, not a clinician. Nothing here should be taken as medical advice, only perspective, honesty, and shared experience.

Why do you write, stream, and sometimes pause?

4

Because life moves in seasons. Writing and streaming are ways to connect and reflect; pausing is part of staying present. This space exists whether content is frequent or quiet.

Where does the money from content go?

5

Any money I make from content is donated to charity. As of 2026, I’m entering my eighth year supporting VCU Children’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

Can I reach out or share my story?

6

Yes. I read more than I reply to, and responses may take time, but thoughtful messages are always welcome. Silence usually means life is full, not that your note wasn’t valued.

Memento mori—remember that time is finite.
Memento vivere—remember to live.
They’re reminders to stay grounded, present, and kind.

What’s with the Latin?

This site isn’t a destination—it’s a waypoint. If something here helps you slow down or feel less alone, it’s doing its job.
