The Quiet Between

Victory Sports Camp is over.

All four kids are home.

The house feels full again.

Today will be spent deep cleaning.

Resetting rooms.

Putting things back where they belong.

Preparing for the next season of summer.

The kids get a break.

At least as much of a break as kids ever allow themselves.

I still have work.

School.

Projects.

Life.

But that's how it goes.

Tomorrow is food pantry day.

Then family games.

The kind of day that never seems important while you're living it, but somehow becomes a memory years later.

Sunday is church.

Monday is work.

And just like that, another week disappears into the rearview mirror.

There will be streaming tonight.

Maybe this afternoon.

Maybe a little over the weekend.

We'll see.

Mostly, I'm planning to rest when I can.

The house projects are done.

The rooms are finished.

The kids are home.

The vacation is ending.

That feels like enough.

Life isn't always built from big moments. Sometimes it's the quiet space between them that matters most. The projects are finished. The camp is over. The next chapter hasn't started yet. For a little while, we get to sit in the middle of those things and simply be grateful that we're here.

Much love.

Stay safe.

Wash your damn hands.

See you on stream, and back here Monday.
